The Citizens and Hanover Insurance Companies Name James Hyatt President, Personal Lines Division

WORCESTER, Mass., July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Citizens and Hanover Insurance Companies have named James S. Hyatt president of its personal lines division. In this role, he will be responsible for all aspects of the company's personal lines operations. Hyatt, who previously served as president, New England Region for Citizens and Hanover, also is a member of the company's Operating Committee.

Hyatt joined Citizens and Hanover in 2004. Previously, he was with The Hartford, serving as a regional vice president of the company's property and casualty operations in Northern New England.

Before moving to The Hartford in 2002, he held numerous leadership and management roles in personal lines, underwriting, and marketing for more than 17 years with Chubb, most recently serving as senior vice president, North American field marketing manager.

Hyatt began his insurance career with Chubb in 1985, and rose through the ranks of the company's personal lines organization before being named personal lines manager in Colorado in 1989 and in Boston in 1991. Hyatt subsequently held regional leadership roles in underwriting and marketing in New York, New Jersey and New England before being appointed senior vice president in the company's marketing organization.
