Avenues BOP helps The Hanover's independent agents meet the needs of a growing number of small commercial clients by offering more than 460 broadly defined BOP classes, covering the equivalent of more than 1,000 industry classes. While agents choose Avenues BOP for its consistent underwriting and pricing, flexible coverage, and user-friendly technology, the product is also unique for the broad array of endorsements it offers, enabling agents to customize solutions that protect against a myriad of risks.

"We are always looking for ways we can help our agents grow their businesses," said Joseph P. Cranny, regional vice president at The Hanover. "With that in mind, we are excited to offer Avenues BOP to our agents and their customers in Minnesota."

Optional endorsements available with the BOP include coverage for miscellaneous professional liability and employment practices liability. By packaging the coverage as endorsements The Hanover has created a more affordable product for the vast majority of eligible business, priced between $150 and $2,000 -- significantly less than standard coverage for such risks, which typically costs between $2,500 to $10,000. Premiums vary depending upon the class of business, limit of insurance and company's total revenue

"This product will enable small businesses in Minnesota to address important risk exposures at an affordable cost and will enable our agents to meet the evolving needs of their local markets," said Cranny.

To further demonstrate the company's commitment to small commercial business in Minnesota, The Hanover recently hired Jennifer Streiff as small commercial sales manager. In this role, she will be responsible for working directly with the company's independent agents to help them win more small commercial business. Streiff has many years experience working within the Minnesota insurance market, having served with carriers including General Casualty and Travelers, as well as for a local independent insurance agency.

Agents interested in learning more about The Hanover's BOP can contact Streiff for an overview of the product and demonstration of how easy it is to quote, issue, and endorse policies online using the company's point of sale system.
